We are seeking a committed, hands-on, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, the ability to manage full set accounts independently, and the confidence to lead a small team to support smooth day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Handle full set of accounts, including General Ledger and preparation of audit schedules
Review invoice postings and process payments accurately and on a timely basis
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, reconciliations, and balances
Review staff claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documents before payment
Monitor cash flow and support daily cash management
Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments
Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
Prepare tax schedules and liaise with tax agents on corporate tax matters
Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns
Liaise with external auditors during annual audit and respond to audit queries and requirements
Analyse financial information and prepare reports or findings for management review
Lead and supervise a team of 2 Accounts Assistants to ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations
Perform other ad hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in an accounting role
Proven ability to handle full set accounts independently
Experience in consolidation and audit will be an added advantage
Prior experience in supervising junior finance staff or a small team is preferred
Proficient in accounting software such as Xero experience with Clinic Assist software is a plus
Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Meticulous, organised, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
