Accountant (Singapore based)

We are looking for a capable and hands-on Accountant to manage the full set of accounts for our Singapore operations (Godiva and McVitie's).

This is an independent role where you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local statutory requirements.

The role is suitable for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle full-set accounting independently within a structured and stable environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts for the Singapore entity
• Perform month-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
• Prepare regular management reports with basic variance analysis
• Handle boutique commission calculations based on established formulas and sales data
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Coordinate audit requirements and liaise with external auditors where required
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and internal control policies
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g. auditors, banks, authorities)
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and support daily treasury activities
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience with full-set exposure
• Experience in retail or FMCG industry is an advantage
• Proficient in English and Mandarin (written & spoken)
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with ERP / accounting systems
• Immediate available is preferred
