PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Together with a Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager to manage a portfolio of accounting clients to be an effective, efficient and profitable part of Ocorian including coaching, guiding and reviewing work of onshore/offshore team members, setting deliverables timeline to ensure timely and accurate service delivery, support the Head of Corporate Services and/or the Senior Manager/Manager, Client Accounting to ensure adherence with Ocorian policy and procedures, smooth running of operation of the team under management and provide high quality service to Ocorian's clients.
This hands-on role involves preparing client deliverables, preparing and overseeing bookkeeping, GST, Corporate Tax and payroll functions and supporting process improvement within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work together with Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager, Client accounting in ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting, payroll, GST, corporate tax and XBRL filings in compliance with statutory requirements and managing tight timelines.
- Managing and preparing full sets of accounts and/or unaudited financial statements, adhering to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and/or such other reporting standards, where applicable.
- Supervise and review the work of onshore/offshore team members to meet and exceed service standards.
- Serve as key liaison for clients, providing advisory support on accounting, payroll and compliance matters
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring smooth transition of accounting, tax, GST and/or payroll records (whichever applicable)
- Liaise effectively with auditors and/or tax agents to facilitate accounting and tax processes.
- Drive process improvements through software implementation, workflow enhancements and ensuring regulatory and/or non-regulatory deadlines are met
- Support the Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager, Client Accounting in managing overall targets and proactively monitor actual performance against target
- Such other duties as may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA, MOM, CPF and relevant tax regulations
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a client accounting or similar role, preferably in the business services or corporate advisory industry
- Holds a degree in accountancy from reputable university or such equivalent qualification or is currently pursuing a professional qualification with ACCA or ISCA.
- Strong proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Navision and accounting software such as Xero.
- Experience with preparing financials for trust structure and related entities will be an advantage.
