Job Description
Revenue & Cost Accounting
- Review and ensure revenue and direct costs are recognized in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare accounting treatment papers and process documentation to support revenue and cost recognition.
- Collaborate with Product, Billing, and IS teams on new product launches to ensure systems and processes are properly set up for accurate accounting.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new product launches and system enhancements.
Inventory Accounting & Control
- Monitor inventory transactions, reconcile accounts to the general ledger, and ensure proper integration with SAP and related systems.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and prepare reconciliations between physical stock, inventory systems, and the general ledger.
- Provide guidance and resolve issues raised by the offshore inventory team.
- Oversee the entire inventory accounting function and supervise the team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Execute monthly closing activities and reconciliations related to revenue and inventory.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with analysis and commentary on key variances.
- Manage BAU (Business-as-Usual) tasks, liaise with business stakeholders to resolve issues, and respond promptly to queries.
Governance, Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audit activities by preparing and providing required documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are maintained for all accounting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy or equivalent with 2 years+ experience in audit or accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its application.
- Candidates with product and telecommunications revenue accounting working experience, particularly on IFRS 15 on revenue recognition will be an added advantaged
- Proficient in ERP software (such as SAP), Excel, SQL, RPA skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with confidence and maturity to work effectively with different levels in the organization.
