Accountant / Senior Accountant (Japanese-speaking)

About Company:

Our client is a Singapore-based advisory and consulting firm. They are supporting clients in business consultation, market entry, accounting and tax matters, with a particular understanding of Japanese business practices and the needs of Japanese companies expanding or operating overseas.

Job Description:

- Full-set bookkeeping and month-end closing for a portfolio of client companies

- Preparation of statutory financial statements in English and Japanese

- Corporate and individual tax computation and filing support

- Direct communication with Japanese-speaking clients, including private/HNW individuals relocating to Singapore

- Preparation of reports and documentation for the Japan head office in Japanese

- Liaison with local colleagues and external parties in English

- Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience at an accounting or tax firm

- Preferably Japanese CPA, Japanese Certified Tax Accountant, or USCPA - partial qualification or active study is welcomed

- Proven ability to independently prepare a complete set of financial statements

- Native-level Japanese proficient for client communication, documentation and Japan head-office reporting purposes

- Business-level English for internal and external liaison in Singapore

- Practical tax exposure is preferred.

Compensation:

- Work location: Centre region, Singapore

- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am - 6pm, Friday 9am - 5.30pm
