About the Role
We are seeking a structured and tech-savvy Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage regional finance operations. This role splits responsibilities between driving Group-wide Accounts Payable (AP) and executing full-set accounting for designated countries. The ideal candidate brings strong ERP experience and an interest in financial automation and digital transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Group Accounts Payable: Manage and execute AP activities across the Group, including processing vendor invoices, inter-company entries, and T&E claims in compliance with company policies.
- Country Accounting: Manage and execute full sets (GL and AR) for assigned countries.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders on invoice submissions and resolve vendor inquiries promptly.
- Financial Closing: Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations.
- Cash Management: Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment terms and cash control procedures
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits with documentation; ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST/VAT, withholding tax, and statutory reporting) across all AP transactions.
- Digital Transformation: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including defining requirements, assessing change impacts, and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for financial tools.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyze payment trends, monitor aged payables, and generate ad-hoc reports to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, ACCA, etc.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a regional or multi-country capacity.
- Systems: Hands-on experience with Tier 1 ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preferred Tech Skills: Familiarity with AI-driven tools, Power BI, RPA, or business process workflow automation is highly advantageous.
- Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Senior Accountant title.
