Job Summary
Manage financial operations including monthly closing, reporting, forecasting, audit coordination, and compliance to support business performance and regulatory adherence in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly financial closing and reporting to ensure accuracy and timely delivery for management review
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages for senior management decision-making
- Develop weekly group cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning and financial stability
- Coordinate audit schedules and liaise effectively with auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance
- Maintain fixed assets register in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure timely submission of GST and adherence to tax compliance obligations
- Perform variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies and support corrective actions
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes to align financial plans with business objectives
- Post journal entries including payroll, accruals, FRS 116, tax, revaluation, and interest to maintain accurate ledgers
- Participate in year-end stock counts and inventory verification to validate asset records
- Manage withholding tax and other regulatory requirements to ensure legal compliance
- Create, amend, and update accounts receivable and accounts payable master files for accurate financial records
- Conduct surveys related to EDB, JTC, ISO, and other regulatory bodies as required
- Utilize SAP, COGNOS, and ERP-AS400 systems to perform financial and operational tasks efficiently
Required competencies and certifications
- ACCA/CPA certification, Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting or financial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Cost and Management Accounting with strong management skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and solve problems effectively while meeting deadlines
- High attention to detail with demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- Commitment to a 1-year contract term
