We are hiring for a Commodities Trading house. The accountant will be primarily responsible for Financial Reporting, GL, and Closing.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly closing and consolidation to ensure timely group and statutory reporting.
Maintain financial records in line with reporting standards and statutory requirements.
Assess the impact of changes in accounting standards and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages and annual financial statements.
Support external audits and internal control/audit reviews.
Analyze daily trade flows and transactions for accuracy and consistency.
Reconcile accounting to trading systems for accuracy of the accounting ledger.
Prepare accounting schedules and conduct monthly analytical reviews of financial fluctuations.
Identify and implement process and control improvements for better efficiency and reporting quality.
Ensure compliance with accounting, and other relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, or equivalent with 4 years experience in audit and reporting
Audit experience with a commodity trading company is a must
Working experience with Big 4 audit firms is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office especially in Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
