Our client is a globally recognised luxury fashion house with a strong presence in Singapore. They are seeking an Accountant to oversee full-spectrum accounting, ensure statutory and group compliance, and support financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and audit processes in collaboration with retail and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Record Keeping
- Manage full spectrum accounting for Singapore including cash flow, budgeting and audit activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in line with group and statutory requirements.
- Apply IFRS/SFRS accounting principles and standards and oversee day-to-day finance operations across retail stores, corporate, and regional teams.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and conduct monthly variance analysis with insights for management.
- Liaise with HQ and Regional teams on finance queries.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budget preparation and biannual forecasting.
Compliance & Auditing
- Oversee both internal and external audits, address auditor inquiries promptly, and ensure audits proceed efficiently with optimal results.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA, and IRAS regulations.
- Prepare and submit corporate tax returns, GST, and other statutory filings.
- Utilize SAP and other accounting tools/software for efficient financial management and reporting.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and above in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CA qualification (in progress/attained) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within a luxury or retail MNC; Big 4 experience is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in SAP financial modules (FI/CO preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/SFRS Accounting Standards.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy, leveraging tools and software to work efficiently.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a tech-savvy, proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
