Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with 2-3 years of experience to join our marine company in the UBI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (marine/shipping industry preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ,ZOHO, Tally, or ERP systems)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in marine, logistics, or shipping companies
- Knowledge of IRAS regulations .
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
