Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Assist with the accounting function for existing Southeast Asia entities (and any new entities in the future), including but not limited to;

  • Year end close, quarter end close and monthly close in accordance with US GAAP & Corporate Policies
  • Day to day management of the Accounts Receivable process. This includes working with WNS to ensure invoices are raised in a timely manner and that collections and credit control are adequate
  • Day to day management of the Accounts Payable process. This includes working with WNS to ensure invoices are processed correctly and efficiently. Oversight of vendor maintenance. Review of weekly payment proposals. Management of general banking matters and cashflow forecasting
  • Monitoring and checking of staff travel expense claims (assisted by WNS)
  • Manage petty cash, event float requirements and banking
  • Provide information to our tax advisors for the annual Corporate Tax return
  • Provide information to our external auditors for financial statements audits
  • Prepare and file quarterly GST returns
  • Prepare and file Withholding Tax returns as and when required
  • Uphold a strong internal control environment
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CPA or similar)
  • Experience of legal, financial and tax regulations across South East Asia
  • US GAAP experience preferred
  • Big four experience helpful
  • Experience in the sports, media or events industries helpful
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, diligence and integrity
  • Team player
  • Fast learner with ambitions to progress within the organization

  • Business in South East Asia is developing therefore additional responsibilities are expected to arise over time
