Job Description

Location: Singapore (Priority will be given to candidates who currently possess the right to work in Singapore)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Singapore Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of multiple Singapore entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and successful delivery of key finance activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with regional stakeholders, Group Finance, and external advisors while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of financial accounting activities, including month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for Group reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and management accounting deliverables.
  • Handle tax filing matters, including GST, SST, VAT, and withholding tax filings where applicable.
  • Handle full set of annual statutory audits, special audits, and XBRL filings by preparing audit schedules and related documentation on timely basis
  • Partner with Group Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to support business and reporting requirements
  • Ensure completion of the company statistics as required by the authorities
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial firms, and regulatory authorities on finance-related matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, controls, and documentation while supporting ad hoc projects as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting, and tax compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a multinational environment will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Good team player with positive working attitude and result oriented
  • Independent, self-motivated, hands-on, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Accountant.
