Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee monthly financial activities, including payroll, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), tax payments, claims, and invoice generation.
- Monitor and manage overhead expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports covering revenue, expenses, profit/loss, and other key financial metrics for management review.
- Track and manage inventory-related financial activities, including sales, promotional usage, and reordering when stock levels are low.
- Collaborate with department heads to review budgets, control expenditures, and ensure financial records are reconciled by month-end.
- Attend departmental and executive meetings to present financial insights and updates.
- Participate in annual financial reviews, analyzing past performance and recommending improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, reports, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of relevant accounting or analytical experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Working knowledge of corporate tax laws and financial regulations.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) is an advantage.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
