We are a growing construction company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations. Candidates with prior experience in the construction industry will be highly preferred.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Handle full sets of accounts, including AR, AP, GL, and monthly/year-end closing
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts
- Manage project costing, progress claims, variation orders, and retention sums
- Monitor subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with contract terms
- Prepare and submit GST returns and ensure compliance with IRAS requirements
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis for construction projects
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure internal controls are adhered to
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a construction company is highly preferred
- Familiar with construction costing, progress billing, and retention accounting
- Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
