Job Summary
Join Kiat Lay as an Accountant cum HR Executive to independently manage accounting and HR functions, supporting daily operations, financial accuracy, and HR compliance in a stable, growing company.
Responsibilities
Accounting
- Manage the full set of accounts to ensure accurate financial records
- Process accounts payable and receivable to maintain cash flow and vendor relations
- Reconcile general ledger and bank statements monthly to verify financial accuracy
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to inform business decisions
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and staff claims to maintain timely financial transactions
- Prepare GST submissions and assist with audit and year-end closing to ensure regulatory compliance
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and corporate secretary to facilitate financial processes
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation for audit readiness and transparency
Human Resources
- Process monthly payroll and CPF submissions accurately to comply with statutory requirements
- Manage leave records, attendance tracking, IR8A filings, and employee claims to support workforce administration
- Support recruitment activities including interview coordination and onboarding to attract and integrate talent
- Prepare employment contracts, HR letters, and maintain employee records to ensure proper documentation
- Handle work pass applications, insurance matters, and general HR administration to maintain compliance
- Ensure adherence to Singapore employment regulations and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in full set accounting preferred
- Familiarity with Singapore payroll, CPF, IR8A, and MOM regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience in construction, engineering, or SME environment is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, organised, and able to work independently
