Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations, project accounting, and group consolidation across multiple entities. This role is ideal for candidates with WIP, project accounting, and multi-entity finance experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations including AP/AR, intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing across multiple entities
- Maintain accurate accounting records, audit schedules, and ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Support group and joint venture consolidation, including consolidation entries, schedules, and reporting updates
- Coordinate annual statutory audits, group reporting, and statutory filings, liaising with auditors and tax advisors (GST and corporate tax)
- Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring, working capital management, and bank settlements
- Liaise with Company Secretary on corporate secretarial matters, statutory returns, and maintenance of entity records
- Ensure strong internal controls and governance processes, support system-related accounting matters, and provide guidance to junior team members
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting, preferably in construction, contractor, or project accounting environments
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with project accounting, WIP, consolidation, and financial systems (e.g., Yardi, Cognos, SAP) is an advantage

- Salary: up to S$5,500 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
