Our client is a real estate investment firm with multiple market presence across APAC. They are actively hiring for seasoned Accountant to join their Finance department. This incumbent will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be covering financial reporting and accounting activities for the Group.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the group and the funds under management.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial statements.
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee the general ledger and manage full-spectrum accounting operations, including journal postings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other transactional processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation in line with company policies to support transparent accounting and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit exercises to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial information.
- Strengthen internal controls to enhance financial reliability and minimize discrepancies.
- Keep abreast of updates in accounting standards and financial regulations to maintain continuous compliance.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax filings in compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in tax planning initiatives and perform compliance checks to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets to help achieve the group's and funds financial goals.
- Deliver analytical support for strategic and operational projects to improve financial performance and effectiveness.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive process improvements and optimize business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues within the finance function and across departments to ensure cohesive financial management.
- Assist the Finance Manager in daily financial operations and project initiatives.
- Demonstrate a proactive learning attitude and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related discipline
- At least 3 to 6 years of Accounting experience, covering full set of accounts and financial reporting
- Experience in Real Estate Asset Management/ REITS will be highly advantageous
- Meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Team player and strong communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
