Duties

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Financial Accounting
  • Support the accounting and reporting requirements of assigned APAC entities and progressively assume responsibility for designated legal entities.
  • Prepare and review month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlement activities across regional entities.
  • Prepare management reporting schedules and support Group reporting requirements.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities in line with Group reporting timetables.
  • Audit, Statutory Reporting & Compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare audit-ready reconciliations and supporting documentation for local and Group audits.
  • Coordinate responses to auditor requests and follow up on outstanding information requirements.
  • Support local compliance reporting and finance governance requirements across APAC.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounting records remain accurate, complete and audit-ready.
  • Tax Accounting Support
  • Collaborate with the Group Tax team to support tax reporting requirements across APAC entities.
  • Support VAT and local tax data checks in collaboration with Group Tax, helping ensure accounting entries are correctly recorded
  • Regional Provider & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, tax advisers and company secretarial providers across APAC.
  • Review accounting information and reporting schedules received from local service providers.
  • Monitor deliverables and reporting deadlines to support timely month-end close, audit and compliance activities.
  • Support HQ close requirements, Group audit deliverables and regional finance projects.
  • Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders on finance-related matters, including vendor onboarding, purchase order processes and payment-related enquiries.
  • Operational Finance
  • Support supplier accounting processes, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and appropriately authorised.
  • Assist with payment proposals, banking administration and cash management activities.
  • Review aged balances and follow up on outstanding matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain appropriate supporting documentation and financial controls.
  • Continuous Improvement & Finance Transformation
  • Contribute to the standardisation of accounting processes across APAC entities, including maintaining SOPs, close checklists and supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardise or automate accounting processes and reporting activities within the department.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements, controls and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of finance operations.
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects as the department continues to expand.
  • Take on ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the scope expands into new entities.

Qualifications / Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification, or currently pursuing.

Experience


  • 2–3 years of accounting and audit experience.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
  • Experience within a multinational or regional finance environment.
  • Exposure to APAC entities and multi-currency accounting.
  • Experience supporting statutory audits and financial reporting processes.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across different entities and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across countries and time zones.
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively in a regional APAC environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar.
