Accountant

We are looking for a self-driven and detail-oriented finance professional who can work independently while managing the full set of accounts and supporting financial reporting and cost analysis. The candidate should be proactive, organized, and able to provide financial insights to support management decision-making in a fast-paced medical equipment business environment in our production plant in the west area.

Essential Functions:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

. Handle full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and month-end closing activities.

. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and analysis.

. Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and internal accounting policies.

. Maintain proper documentation and support audit preparation and tax filings.

. Cost Accounting & Analysis

. Perform cost accounting functions, including product costing, cost variance analysis, and standard cost updates.

. Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

. Provide cost insights to support pricing strategies, budgeting, and operational efficiency.

Systems & Process Management

. Manage and maintain accounting workflows within Oracle NetSuite.

. Optimize system usage for reporting, financial control, and process automation.

. Support internal controls, compliance requirements, and continuous process improvements.

Business Support

. Work closely with the Managing Director to provide financial insights, forecasts, and decision support.

. Assist in budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial performance monitoring.

. Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders where required.

Requirements:

. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred due to statutory reporting and compliance responsibilities.

. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in medical devices, healthcare, or trading/manufacturing environments.

. Strong cost accounting experience and understanding of inventory and product costing.

. Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is required.

. Proficient in MS Excel and financial analysis.

. Strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and ability to work independently.

. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with management and cross-functional teams.
