Role Description The Accountant role at AD ASTRA TALENT SERVICES is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The individual in this role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and account balances. The role involves preparing financial statements and management reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulatory requirements. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and expense claims, and liaise with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and tax authorities. The role also includes monitoring cash flow, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and related office applications.
- Understanding of Singapore financial regulations, tax rules, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within corporate or professional services environments.
