Job Summary
You will collaborate with the Finance Committee to drive accurate financial management and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements while supporting the church's financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and consolidation of the annual budget in partnership with the Finance Committee to support strategic financial planning.
- Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain compliance and internal controls.
- Maintain and update pledge records and donor databases to ensure accurate tracking of contributions.
- Prepare for and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate timely and transparent audit processes.
- Process payments, receipts, deposits, and disbursements with appropriate approvals to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Maintain bank reconciliations and comprehensive financial records to support financial accuracy and reporting.
- Manage accounts payable processing with proper authorization to control expenditures.
- Prepare donor statements and reconcile donor accounts to maintain transparency.
- Collaborate with church ministries to consolidate financial records while respecting confidentiality and inclusivity.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and monitor cash flow to provide timely insights into financial health.
- Prepare GST returns and ensure accurate submission to IRAS in compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and capital expenditures to support asset management.
- Ensure regular system backups and safeguard the confidentiality of financial data to protect sensitive information.
- Manage banking documentation and fixed deposits to optimize cash management.
- Assist with accounting system updates and changes to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
