About the job

The incumbent will work in a lean team and handle full hands-on operational finance duties, including day-to-day accounting activities such as JV postings, invoice issuance, supplier payments, asset tracking, schedule preparation, and cash flow management.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the incumbent will support financial reporting and compliance while ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls.

Responsibilities

Operational Accounting (Hands-On)

• Manage the full spectrum of finance functions, including payroll preparation
• Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Maintain project tracking and lease accounting
• Manage cash flow to maintain operational efficiency.

Month-End & Reporting

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare management reports and financial schedules
• Preparation of consolidated reporting
• Provide variance analysis and explanations

Compliance & Audit

• Assist with tax filings (GST, corporate tax, etc.)
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and ensure transparent financial disclosures
• Provide support for year-end group audit processes

Maintain proper documentation and internal controls

• Identify and drive process improvements, system enhancements, and finance workflow setup
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related disciplines
• Preferably 5-7 years of related work experience in the Big Four audit firms and commercial experience
• Experience in project, lease accounting, and debt financing is a must
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, hands-on, resourceful, and with an eye for detail
• Effective team player, highly motivated and independent
• Experience in financial modelling is desirable
• Proficient in MS Office and Xero Accounting System
