Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (12-months contract) to support the Singapore FP&A/Payroll team based in Jurong East, Singapore. This role will assist with routine finance operations, basic reporting, reconciliations, and payroll administration activities across multiple entities.

The role is suitable for candidates with accounting knowledge who are keen to gain hands-on experience in a multinational environment.

Reporting to our FP&A Payroll Team Associate Manager, our Accountant (12-months contract) will (and not limited to):

  • Provide Finance Operations Support in assisting with preparation of monthly reports and simple budget vs actual analysis, including preparing journal entry in support of schedules and documentation.
  • Tracking of expenses and invoices and maintaining finance files, trackers and supporting records.
  • Provide Reconciliation and Data Review support and review data for completeness while highlighting unusual items for reviewer's review, including assisting in updating monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
  • Provide Payroll Administration Support in coordinating with local country payroll providers and report checking/documenting and data collection, ensuring these are organised and completed on time.
  • Provide Process and Team Support in improvement of trackers, templates and administrative processes, including assisting team members with ad hoc tasks during payroll cycle and month-end closing.
  • Maintain proper documentation in line with company policies.

Our ideal candidate demonstrates the following traits and skills:-

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in accountancy, or equivalent experience/combined education with additional training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks and 1-3 years of experience.

You will also have:

  • Basic understanding of accounting terms and principles as well as reconciliations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Familiar with various types of general ledger accounting software – working knowledge of SAP / Oracle / ERP systems is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to payroll or regional finance operations is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
