Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, managing the organization's fixed assets, and ensuring effective cash flow management. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, compliance with company policies, proper capitalization and depreciation of fixed assets, and supporting the organization's cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable & Fixed Asset team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, and expense reimbursements to ensure accuracy Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage fixed asset and ensure accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Oversee capitalization of assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
- Prepare reports and analysis for management decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
