About the opportunity:
The Weber Shandwick Singapore office is currently seeking a Manager for its Healthcare Practice. Acting as a main contact for client, Managers oversee and manage daily PR activities including press release, interviews, reports, etc. Proactively build up and maintain relationship with top tier telecom and business media, and track media opportunities and recommend internally/ to client. Generate high quality, on-time deliverables to our client.
Key Responsibilities:
Client service, client relations and projects management
- Contribute to development of client tactical plans and cross-community implementation activities
- Successfully manage client expectations by ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards
- Develop initial client communications, key messaging and related materials
- Build client relationships, confidence and trust (at executional level). Keep client programmes on schedule and ensure all deadliness are met
- Structure long term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Earn the confidence of mid-to-senior level client contacts and other executives with a client's organization
- Proactively handle client problems quickly and adeptly
- Manage team works and ensure all deliverables meet client's expectation
- Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of client relevant industry and media
- Drive the development of appropriate public relations strategy and programs
Team management and finance management
- Act as key contact for internal account staff to address issues
- Train and motivate team members
- Manage account staff group profitability
- Conduct performance reviews
- Create opportunities for team members to enhance growth with agency
- Track team results against client's goals
- Attend account reviews and staff meetings provide ongoing communications and feedback
- Ensure account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines
- Participate in systems improvement
- Involved in staffing of team including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
Key Skills Required:
- Bachelor's Degree, with 4-5 years or more experience in communications, marketing, media, digital or content development experience.
- Interest/ experience in marketing/ PR communications within the healthcare/ pharmaceutical industry
- Can turn ideas into workable plans
- Capacity to convey ownership of assigned projects to junior team members
