With offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Manila and New York City, SCDA has projects in over 80 locations across Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, and North America. In parallel, SCDA Lab pioneers social and cultural initiatives, applying research and design to enact measurable change and advance the environmental cause.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our Accounts team. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

  • Manage daily accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, and employee expense claims.
  • Maintain full set of accounts and update financial records (AP, AR, GL) in accounting systems.

Financial Reporting:

  • Handle monthly and yearly financial closing processes.

Compliance and Administration:

  • Assist with accounting standards (e.g. SFRS/IFRS), tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory submissions.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations where applicable.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/ ACCA/ Diploma in Accountancy or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry (hotels, resorts, F&B, or related sectors).
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, Micros, or similar is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
