Job Description

Job Summary:

This role involves managing the full spectrum of month-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with accounting policies (IFRS) and local laws. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and cash management. The position also entails invoicing, supplier payments, intercompany billing, preparing annual budgets, handling GST submissions, and corporate tax filings. The candidate will prepare monthly financial reports, liaise with Group Finance, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements. Managing accounting operations for overseas companies and supporting ad-hoc projects will also be required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out full spectrum of month end closing activities and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies (IFRS) and local statutory laws and regulations
  • Manage AR/AP, General Ledger, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management functions.
  • Handle invoicing, supplier payments, and intercompany billings.
  • Prepare annual budgets with cost analysis and work with HODs for submission.
  • Manage GST submissions, ECI, and corporate tax filings with IRAS.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, analyzing financial performance and providing insights.
  • Liaise with Group Finance on accounting, tax issues, and statutory compliance.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors for audit and compliance matters.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Responsible for managing the accounting operations of overseas companies.
  • Support other assignments or projects as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or relevant recognized professional qualification.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team and under multi-task environment.
  • Prior experience in legal service / professional consultancy sector preferred.
  • Proficient in a second working language (e.g. Chinese language) an added advantage.
  • Prior experience with XERO accounting software / Proficient in MS Office.
