WHO ARE YOU
The Account Director has specific responsibility as directed by the Founder, and Head of Client Success for the engagement and management of client needs. This role is internal and external ensuring we as an agency build and grow opportunities for our clients as well as see those event collaboration and production scopes through to delivery. Always delivered with the right skills, aptitude and Sight vision for delivery.
You will be responsible for managing the organisation's client success strategies.
You will manage and develop potential opportunities and provide leadership on all aspects of client success, inclusive of 3rd party outreach so as to achieve revenue generation for specific client needs within Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) events sphere. You will secure new revenue for Sight and manages existing and client and partner relations to achieve financial and marketing goals.
You are persuasive and resourceful and hold excellent relationship management skills.
You develop and maintain partner and client relationships and oversee all contractual issues with clients. He/She is able to communicate well to close SOW and budget agreements.
You may need to travel to maintain rapport with potential and existing clients, and network widely to obtain, develop and manage business relationships. Within briefs for certain clients, you may handle client needs directly for sponsorship and extended development of event programmes and marketing opportunities within an event brief.
A client facing interaction and the highest level of service ability is expected for the role of Account Director inclusive of development of and design of proposals, full budgetary management and responsibility, leading, assigning and building teams relevant to client needs, working closely with our Head of Client Success and Head of Production and Experience.
The Account Director should possess exceptional time and project management skills, as well as passion and agility, to ensure success. You will work closely with the Head of Client Success in ensuring the production team of Executive Producers, Senior Producers, Producers and Associate Producers actively supporting client relationships and growing revenue by acting as a supportive and process driven safe pair of hands trusted within the team for the very foundation processes that deliver our work.
With a demonstrated experience leading teams in sales and production you will have extensive experience in client relations and management and be highly commercial orientated in developing and managing budgets.
Possessing not only a strategic mind and ability to implement strategic objectives, you will also have a strong creative eye and extensive knowledge in concept development and a solid understanding of digital offerings and capabilities.
As a mentor you will share and learn with the growing team so they may also manage opportunities with a commercial sense and strategy to achieve maximum profit and sustainable relationship with clients.
Your role is vital in ensuring the event management and production work we are engaged for, and our scope of engagement is delivered against agreed objectives and budget parameters and is profitable. We pride ourselves in surpassing clients expectations and representing their brand.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leadership: Sets and implements the event scope needs reporting to the client in a regular and structured manner.
Business Development: Manage and lead opportunities when assigned, supporting the team and client including written, creative, and costings as directed and assigning specific vendor & production tasks.
Production Management: The highest standards of production across all event formats, live, virtual and hybrid. Understand the brief, briefing the Head of Experience and Production of the project and ensuring they and their teams complete the required tasks for the smooth function of the pre production and onsite processes.
Financial: Ensuring budgets are on track, working with the Head of Production and Experience keeping Streamtime up to date, ensuring any out of the ordinary updates are managed and handled, maintaining profitability at all times. Ensuring Sight has the best pricing with vendors and also supporting the team with supplier liaison, direction and suitability suggestions when needed.
Collaboration: Setting the relevant teams up for success - including various team members and departments including Creative, Technical and Production to ensure they can deliver sponsorship needs (as per client and Head of Production and Experience have directed).
Communication: Ensure clear communication to the team as directed for responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules etc. This may also be to ensure stakeholders and client communication is of a relevant level and style that is Sight approved. Ensuring all written documents and project working documents are of the right level, style and professional level Sight expects. This also leads to verbal and physical presentation skills internally and externally to clients.
Admin & Support: Managing your reporting, client needs and internal needs as well as meeting cadence, admin confirmations and other operational tasks
Standard Operating Procedures: Implementation and strict adherence of the Sight handbook and templates and processes as inducted
WHO YOU ARE
Minimum of 8+ years experience within the industry with client side or event agency, sales, production and operational relevant experience.
You are willing to learn, and develop your foundation skills with a keen eye for detail, quality management, production experience, time management and ready to embrace learning and growth in your role, and teach and mentor others.
Outgoing, friendly, sense of team spirit, confident and dedicated to event management - Able to shine with ideas, innovative ideas and also unique points of view.
You understand the importance of good project management, administration, organisational and communication skills, as well as good attention to detail.
Ensuring empathy and kindness are your modus operandi!
Willing to travel onsite to events across Asia-Pacific as needed
You have an exceptional knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite including Drive, Mail, Sheets and Slides
Writing and communication skills, developing from good into definitive for the industry, keen to learn and engage further in communications
You are unfazed by tight deadlines, multiple projects and conflicting priorities and remain calm and collected under pressure.
