Job Description

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Account Director to lead a small team and run pitches end-to-end.

This role is for someone who enjoys both the creative side of events and the practical side of getting things done well. You'll take briefs, shape ideas with the team, and make sure everything comes together smoothly for the client.

You'll also play a key role in guiding your team, managing incoming opportunities, and building strong client relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take client briefs and lead pitches from start to finish
  • Work with the creative team to develop ideas that are both strong and workable
  • Oversee projects through to execution - on time, on budget, and to a high standard
  • Make sure details are well managed and nothing falls through the cracks
  • Working with Clients & Partners
  • Build good, trusted relationships with clients and vendors
  • Manage expectations clearly and professionally
  • Be the steady point of contact throughout each project

Leading the Team

  • Manage and support a team of two
  • Assign incoming leads based on strengths and workload
  • Set clear direction and timelines to meet revenue targets
  • Step in where needed to guide, support, or problem-solve

Supporting Growth

  • Work with the Sales Director on ideas and selected pitches
  • Focus on inbound leads (no cold sales required)

  • Strong organisational skills - You can juggle multiple projects without losing track
  • Good attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working with people - Clients, partners, and team members
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Calm under pressure and able to think ahead
  • Practical, solutions-focused, and reliable
  • Takes pride in doing a good job

What does it take

  • Comfortable with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (budgets and proposals)
  • Clear and effective communicator

Good to know:

  • This role focuses on inbound opportunities, not cold business development
  • You'll have ownership of your projects, with support when needed to win the pitches
  • It's a hands-on role. You'll be involved from ideation to closing the pitch before a proper handover to our Ops team
