As the Account & Business Development Manager, you will drive sales growth and customer satisfaction in the Commercial Maritime segment. Your focus will be on identifying and closing new business opportunities, renewing and upselling existing clients, and ensuring timely responses to client needs. Success will be measured by your achievement of new business, renewals, upselling targets, and profitability goals.
This full-time role is based in our Singapore office and requires frequent travel within APAC and occasionally to the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full sales cycle from client onboarding to retention and growth, meeting or exceeding sales targets in the Commercial Maritime sector
- Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and contracts, and manage all related client communications
- Maintain accurate client and pipeline data in the sales system; monitor progress and collaborate with leadership to achieve targets
- Oversee administrative and financial aspects of client accounts, including receivables, renewals, and contract reviews
- Support and participate in industry events such as seminars and trade shows
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders to enhance retention and identify expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute account plans to identify and capitalize on extension, migration, and global account opportunities
- Identify new prospects and promote the full range of company services
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and leverage internal resources for proposal development and tender responses.
- Maximize business development via channel partner collaborations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in B2B consultative selling within the Maritime industry
- Experience selling cybersecurity and IT solutions strongly preferred
- Consulting services sales experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred
- Singaporean or Singapore PR only
- Deep understanding of International Maritime IT, Cybersecurity, and Connectivity markets
- Strong consultative and solution-selling expertise with a client-centric approach
- Proven ability to develop engagement strategies and manage sales pipelines effectively
- Skilled negotiator and influencer with strategic planning and financial analysis capabilities
- Excellent networking, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable with dynamic and complex environments
- High standards of integrity, self-motivation, and discipline
- Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, PipeDrive)
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
