About ZhiHua

ZhiHua Education is a new premium P4-P6 primary Chinese tuition centre launching in Singapore. We teach Standard Chinese and Higher Chinese in small classes of maximum 6 students.

We are not another tuition centre. We are building something different - a rigorous, personalised, and premium Chinese education brand with a clear growth plan across multiple branches.

Unlike traditional centres that mirror the school textbook, ZhiHua is built around a skill-based, exam-centric modular curriculum where every lesson teaches one specific, clearly defined exam technique. (e.g. how to write a powerful composition opening, how to distinguish near-synonyms in cloze passages, the three-step inference method for comprehension, how to structure a PEEL oral response etc.)

ZhiHua's skill-based, exam-centric model targets a specific and highly valuable customer segment: students who already have adequate foundations but are plateauing - stuck at a grade band despite doing all the right things. More exposure to the same material is not solving the problem. What these students need is targeted skill instruction - someone teaching them the specific exam techniques that move an AL4 to an AL3 or an AL2 to an AL1.

The Role

We are looking for our founding Academic Head - the most senior academic role in ZhiHua, working directly with the founders to build the company's complete curriculum from scratch and lead all academic operations.

You are not just an employee, but rather an actual partner that receives profit-sharing and equity-equivalent exit sale profit sharing, on top of a competitive monthly base salary. Zero capital investment is required your skin in the game is your pedagogical expertise, curriculum leadership, and dedication to student outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Chinese educator who wants more than a teaching job. You will own ZhiHua's entire academic system - curriculum, teachers, quality, and standards - with real financial upside tied to the company's success.

What You Will Do

• Refine and finalise ZhiHua's complete P4-P6 curriculum - every module, worksheet, lesson plan, and assessment across Standard Chinese and Higher Chinese
• Design and maintain the lesson template, quality standards, and assessment framework
• Lead, observe, train and develop all teaching staff across branches as we scale
• Conduct weekly lesson observations and monthly teacher performance reviews
• Own the academic calendar, makeup lesson system, and curriculum improvement cycle
• Report directly to the CEO
  

What We Offer

• $10,000/month base salary
• Pre-opening curriculum milestone bonuses - up to $20,000 upon completion of the full curriculum build across defined milestones
• Quarterly profit sharing - 10% of ZhiHua's net profit per quarter.
• Long-term exit participation - ZhiHua is building toward a planned exit at a significant multiple. The Academic Head will also be rewarded 10% of the sale profit.
• Direct working relationship with two experienced founders committed to building a premium, scalable education business
  

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years teaching P4-P6 Chinese - Standard Chinese and/or Higher Chinese
• Have strong experience designing original curriculum materials - not just delivering existing content. Please be specific about this in your application
• Experience coaching, observing, or mentoring other Chinese teachers - formal or informal
• Strong written Chinese - publication standard. You will be producing model compositions, comprehension passages, and error analysis materials
• Degree with Chinese as major subject or equivalent qualification (MOE Form RT eligibility required)
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident strongly preferred
• Comfortable with a results-driven, output-based working model - we value what you produce, not hours spent in the office
