Job Description

The Active Ageing Centre (AAC) Programme Executive will support the center's operations, focusing on program planning, delivery, coordination of befriending and buddying services, and the promotion of preventive health practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and implement programs and activities that align with funding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance the social and healthcare aspects for seniors.
  • Community Development: Engage seniors and the broader community to foster community building efforts, encouraging active participation and social integration among seniors.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and records necessary for program monitoring and prepare reports for submission as required.
  • Information Dissemination: Develop informational materials for distribution to clients and volunteers to ensure clear communication of program details and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute programs appropriate for seniors, ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
  • Volunteer Management: Manage, supervise, and support volunteers, guiding them in executing programs and activities in alignment with funding KPIs.
  • Community Outreach: Conduct outreach activities, including home visits and administering community screeners, to engage seniors and assess their needs.
  • Befriending and Buddying Services: Coordinate befriending and buddying services for volunteers and seniors to foster social connections and support networks.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform general administrative tasks required to fulfill job responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of the AAC.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma/degree in relevant disciplines including social services and community development
  • Experience in community development, outreach programs, or working with grassroots organizations.
  • Prior involvement in asset-based community development (ABCD) or initiatives that mobilize community resources.
  • Experience in engaging diverse populations, especially seniors and vulnerable groups.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and executing community programs, events, or activities.
  • Work experience in elder care, social work, or healthcare settings (e.g., senior activity centers, community care organizations, nursing homes).
  • Exposure to aging-related issues such as dementia, social isolation, and preventive health. Experience in conducting home visits, community assessments, or case coordination.

Pay range and compensation package

This position is on an alternate 5.5 days work week and will be based at Whampoa.

We offer a competitive base salary range of SGD $2600 to $4000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
