Job Responsibilities
- Support the administration and coordination of research ethics review processes, ensuring submissions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
- Screen research applications and correspondence to ensure completeness and compliance with applicable policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate research review meetings, including preparation of agendas and supporting documents, quorum checks, meeting logistics, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare accurate and detailed meeting minutes to document discussions, deliberations, decisions, and action items.
- Assist with the review and updating of research ethics policies, guidelines, forms, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Communicate and coordinate with researchers, investigators, sponsors, committee members, and regulatory authorities on research submissions and review requirements.
- Provide administrative guidance to researchers and investigators on relevant policies, procedures, and submission processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and records of research applications, approvals, correspondence, and related documentation.
- Assist in preparing research-related reports, statistics, and management information for internal review.
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of research review processes.
- Provide cross-coverage and operational support for other research review areas when required.
- Support the coordination of research ethics conferences, programmes, and related activities.
- Perform other research administration and project-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Allied Health, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in healthcare, clinical research, research administration, or research governance would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of research ethics principles, policies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good writing and documentation skills, particularly for meeting minutes, reports, and formal correspondence.
