We are hiring under Recruit Express headcount and you will be deployed to:
Location: West
Salary: $3000 - $3600
Contract Duration: 6 months
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct product development activities in laboratory and pilot plant environments, primarily focusing on dairy and beverage applications.
- Support formulation development, process optimisation, troubleshooting and application testing.
- Develop and evaluate product prototypes to support customer projects.
- Conduct experiments and accurately document results and project activities.
- Prepare technical reports and application-related documentation.
- Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and Operations teams.
- Assist with technical presentations, seminars and training activities.
- Support troubleshooting of formulation and processing challenges.
- Maintain laboratory ingredients, materials, equipment and samples.
- Manage and maintain the ingredient library, ensuring proper labelling, storage and tracking.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all workplace safety, health and sustainability requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in food product development, applications or food manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of ingredient functionality and food processing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented and well organised.
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, willing to learn and able to take ownership of assigned projects.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
