As part of a team operating and maintaining a test facility for 5G testing and experimentation, the responsibilities of this role include the following:
[What you will be working on]
- Configuring, operating and maintaining several telco-grade 5G RAN platforms and supporting infrastructure in a laboratory environment;
- Performing detailed technical assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of 5G RAN-related technologies/operation;
- Assisting users of the system to familiarize with the experimental platform, 5G RAN architecture and functionality;
- Managing RAN vendors for upgrades/updates of RAN platforms;
- Presenting on 5G RAN-related technical topics to internal audiences;
- Budgeting and administrative tasks for upkeep of laboratory environment, including management of contractor for any maintenance works on the testlab environment.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in 5G RAN architecture with good understanding of 5G network protocols and standards (e.g., 3GPP).
- Possess at least 5 years of HANDS-ON experience in operation and/or implementation of 4G/5G RAN networks.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and users of the testbed, with strong communication (written/spoken) and collaboration skills.
- Adaptability to support diverse projects and initiatives beyond core responsibilities as opportunities arise
- Experience in management of data center or test lab environment is a plus.
