Our client is looking for a creative and technical 3D Architectural Lighting Designer to bridge the gap between architectural concept and realistic lighting execution. The successful candidate will build 3D models, run accurate lighting simulations and produce photorealistic visualizations for interior and exterior architectural projects.
Responsibilities:
. Lighting Simulation & Design: Develop conceptual and technical lighting schemes using industry software to meet design and energy codes.
. 3D Visualization: Create detailed 3D models, render scenes, and simulate natural and artificial light interactions.
. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and electrical engineers to integrate lighting fixtures into building plans.
. Documentation: Produce luminaire schedules, lighting plots, and visual presentation decks for client reviews.
. Fixture Selection: Choose appropriate luminaires and control systems that match the design intent and project budget.
Requirements:
. Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design or Computer Science
. 3 to 5 years of experience in architectural lighting design or 3D visualization
. Software Proficiency:
- Lighting tools (e.g., AGI32, RELUX)
- 3D modeling and rendering (e.g., 3dsMax, SketchUp, V-Ray, Corona, or Rhino)
- BIM and drafting tools (Revit, AutoCAD)
- Post-production (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign)
. Strong understanding of light behavior, color temperature, illuminance metrics (lux/footcandles), and energy efficiency standards
