Job Summary:

Join a dynamic financial services environment and contribute to regulatory reporting, financial accounting, compliance monitoring, and corporate reporting activities.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly and periodic financial reports for Head Office.
Liaise with external consultants on the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation.
Prepare and review quarterly GST returns.
Prepare and review daily regulatory compliance reports.
Prepare statutory accounts, corporate tax schedules, management accounts, and regulatory reports.
Support daily accounting operations, including journal entries, system-related activities, and routine accounting functions.
Monitor developments in financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and relevant legislation, and report updates to management.
Update procedure manuals and implement process improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry, or equivalent knowledge of banking products, operations, and financial accounting.
Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
Experience in preparing statutory accounts, corporate tax schedules, and management accounts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
