Based in Singapore, Shiseido Travel Retail is Shiseido's global duty-free business which specializes in accelerating the growth of Shiseido's brands to travellers and includes operations in airports, downtown stores, border shops, airlines, and ferries. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Assistant Manager will support in managing legal and risk management matters relating to the business and can look forward to global exposure and growth within the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (including Chinese commercial agreements) and documents including (but not limited to) procurement and services agreements, SaaS, data processing agreements, NDAs, LOIs; assisting with retailer agreement review
Coordinating and managing internal business stakeholders and external parties on the timely preparation, finalization and execution of legal documents / agreements
Providing preliminary counsel to internal stakeholders on issues relating to commercial agreements and legal documents
Developing internal relationships, assisting to develop processes and policies which facilitate the provision of accurate and timely legal and risk management services to the business
Assisting in the design, training and enforcement of company policies including code of conduct and ethnics, supplier's code of conduct, whistle blowing, data privacy, ani-bribery, cartel prevention, intellectual property and social media
Conducting legal research and assisting on risk management, data privacy and regulatory compliance matters
Providing administrative assistance for the Legal Function
Organizing and maintaining the executed legal documents and agreements in a filing system, implementing contract review process, building legal knowledge management system
Coordinating with outside law firms and service providers

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in Law in a common law jurisdiction/US
3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a common law jurisdiction/US, or 7 to 10 years of as legal assistant, with corporate legal experience
Familiar with contract and commercial laws under common law system, good understanding of privacy laws, IP laws and corporate secretarial practice
Excellent legal analysis, good judgment, insightful on business needs and manage priorities with a pragmatic approach
Solution-oriented, meticulous, proactive, self-motivated, willing to learn
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders
Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and manage time-sensitive documents in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage projects independently within minimal supervision in matrix company organization
Proficient in technology with strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and reporting tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office
