About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our production operations in a customized precision machining environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production planning, technical operations, process improvement, and team leadership while ensuring quality, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge in precision machining who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve quality, productivity, delivery, and cost targets.
Plan and optimize production resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure smooth operations.
Develop and continuously improve Standard Work Instructions (SWI), manufacturing procedures, and production processes.
Work closely with Sales, Technical, Purchasing, and Quality teams to ensure smooth production and resolve manufacturing issues.
Lead, coach, and develop the production team while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
Review and approve production work orders, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) before production.

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher qualification preferred.
Candidates with extensive relevant hands-on experience in lieu of formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Experience in a customized machine shop or precision machining manufacturing environment is essential.
At least 2-5 years of supervisory or production management experience in manufacturing.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production planning, machining processes, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
Passion for continuous improvement and solving manufacturing challenges.
Strong leadership, planning, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
