Job Description:

Tax Compliance & Governance

Oversee Group tax compliance and governance, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes (eg. GST, withholding tax and custom duties where applicable) and other regulatory filings
Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns across all entities
Liaise with tax authorities (e.g. IRAS) and external advisors on audits, queries and rulings
Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess implications to the Group
Maintain tax documentation, controls and audit readiness

Tax Advisory & Planning

Strong manager of people and outcomes combined with a willingness (when required) to get involved in the detail and more closely manage people, processes or projects
Identify tax optimisation opportunities within regulatory and governance frameworks
Provide tax input for contracts, projects, investments and corporate initiatives
Review tax assumptions used in budgeting and forecasting processes
Support business units on tax-related queries and operational matters
Provide advice on tax implications arising from contracts, procurement arrangements, cross-border transactions and business initiatives, including corporate income tax, GST, withholding tax and other indirect tax considerations

Treasury & Cash Management

Oversee Group liquidity, cashflow monitoring and working capital management
Develop and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts (short-term and long-term) in collaboration with FP&A and Controllership to support funding and investment decisions
Optimize cash utilization across entities and monitor funding requirements
Establish and maintain a structured cash positioning and liquidity monitoring framework across the Group
Ensure effective controls over bank accounts, payments and cash processes
Support development of treasury and investment policies, including limits, counterparties and allowable instruments
Support financing activities including loans, credit facilities, refinancing and monitoring of banking covenants

Banking & Finance

Manage short-term and medium-term deployment of surplus funds to optimise returns while maintaining adequate liquidity for operational requirements
Recommend and execute placement strategies for excess cash (e.g. deposits, low-risk instruments) in line with Group treasury policies and risk appetite
Monitor investment performance and returns, ensuring optimisation of yield within approved risk parameters
Monitor market conditions (interest rates, banking products, liquidity environment) and provide recommendations on fund allocation and timing
Ensure proper tracking, reporting and governance of treasury investments, including compliance with internal policies and audit requirements

Fund Investment Management

Manage short-term and medium-term deployment of surplus funds to optimise returns while maintaining adequate liquidity for operational requirements

Ensure strong oversight and control over treasury operations

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with Controllership on tax reporting, provisions and disclosures
Partner FP&A on cashflow forecasting and planning assumptions
Coordinate with auditors on tax and treasury matters
Support senior management on tax and treasury-related analysis

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

Experience

At least 6 years of experience in tax, treasury or corporate finance.

Specific Skills/Knowledge

Experience in both tax compliance and treasury/cash management
Familiar with Singapore tax and regulatory
Experience interacting with auditors, tax authorities and banking partners

Competencies

Strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance and governance
Solid knowledge of treasury, cashflow and working capital management
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage financial risks and ensure control discipline
