Your Impact as Project Finance Manager / Assistant Manager

In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving the financial success of large-scale commercial real estate development projects. You'll combine technical accounting expertise with strategic thinking, delivering actionable insights and supporting stakeholders to align financial performance with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or support end-to-end project accounting for development projects, including capital expenditure tracking and compliance with IFRS/AASB standards.
Manage or assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls to keep projects on track and within budget.
Use financial models to conduct feasibility analyses and support major investment decisions.
Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and offshore delivery teams for seamless project execution.
Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and build trust across teams.
Design and implement improved workflows and digital solutions for project accounting and financial reporting.
Monitor financial risks and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard project outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting, financial planning and analysis, or financial control- ideally within the commercial real estate development sector.
Proven track record in managing or supporting large-scale commercial property development projects and financial controls.
Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and reporting skills using tools like Excel. Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion) and planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan) is an advantage.
CPA or CA certification strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.
