We are seeking a CountrySales Director (SG) in the logistics & supply chain industry to drive business growth across Singapore by expanding market share, acquiring new customers, and strengthening existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering revenue and gross profit targets through strategic business development, consultative solution selling, and effective account management. This role requires a commercially driven sales professional with a strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics solutions, coupled with the ability to collaborate across internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and gross profit objectives.
Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Expand existing customer accounts by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Build a sustainable sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and consistent business development activities.

Pipeline Management & Sales Forecasting

Maintain an accurate and well-qualified sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and participate in pipeline and business review meetings.
Monitor sales performance, identify potential risks to target achievement, and implement corrective actions where required.

Customer Solutions & Commercial Management

Understand customers supply chain challenges and develop tailored freight forwarding and warehousing solutions across air, ocean, and land transportation.
Manage RFQs, pricing proposals, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions in collaboration with pricing and operations teams.
Deliver consultative, value-based solutions that balance customer needs with business profitability.

Commercial Excellence

Ensure compliance with company pricing strategies, margin requirements, and credit policies.
Drive profitable business growth while maintaining commercial discipline.
Escalate non-standard commercial terms and exceptions for approval where necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with operations, customer service, pricing, and finance teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery.
Resolve operational or commercial issues efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to support business strategy.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Develop structured account plans to strengthen customer partnerships and improve retention.
Proactively engage customers to identify new opportunities and address service-related concerns.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
10 years of sales experience within the freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry.
Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales and profitability targets
Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation solutions, trade lanes, and carrier networks.
Demonstrated expertise in business development, prospecting, consultative selling, and contract negotiations.
Commercially astute with strong negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence and own a vehicle, as the role requires frequent client visits.
