In this role, you will help to scale Google Pay India to 400M users and beyond by building a high performing, secure, and robust client foundation. You will take end-to-end ownership of the core architecture, release systems, and developer ecosystem that power our entire Flutter application

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

Design core application architectures, optimize critical app health metrics (such as Application-Not-Responding, startup latency, app size, memory usage, and frame rates), and build secure platform integration layers.
Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams (like Photos and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Work with technologies such as Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, and build/automation tools.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience with mobile experience (e.g., Android, iOS or Flutter development).

Preferred qualifications

Experience optimizing and scaling client systems for applications serving millions of active users.
Mobile app development experience (e.g., Android, iOS, or Flutter) with a strong focus on client infrastructure, performance profiling, or developer tooling.
Working effectively with feature teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., Security, Release, Product) to drive architectural and platform initiatives end-to-end.
