Our client is a reputable local bank seeking a Compliance Executive to join its Financial Compliance Department, supporting Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) activities.

Job Responsibilities

. Review, investigate, and clear Transaction Monitoring (TM) alerts to support the timely reduction of the alert backlog.

. Conduct detailed analysis of transaction monitoring alerts and assess potential AML/CFT risks in accordance with the bank's policies and procedures.

. Perform timely reviews of ad-hoc escalations received from other functional units within the AML team.

. Conduct due diligence and background checks on customers and transactions relating to suspicious cases or alerts.

. Provide AML and Transaction Monitoring advisory and subject matter expertise to relevant business lines and internal functional units.

. Liaise with stakeholders to obtain relevant information and supporting documentation required for alert investigations.

. Ensure timely escalation of potentially suspicious cases and facilitate the appropriate escalation and filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where required.

. Support the monitoring and maintenance of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the Transaction Monitoring team.

. Ensure all investigations, assessments, and documentation are completed accurately and within established timelines.

. Assist with other Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) initiatives and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

. Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Law, Compliance, or a related discipline.

. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in AML, Transaction Monitoring, KYC/CDD, or Financial Crime Compliance within the banking or financial services industry.

. Good understanding of AML/CFT requirements, transaction monitoring processes, and suspicious transaction reporting.

. Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.

. Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business and compliance stakeholders.

. Able to manage a high volume of alerts and work effectively under tight deadlines.

. Prior experience in clearing Transaction Monitoring alert backlogs will be an advantage.

Contract: 6 Months Contract

Salary: S$3,000 - S$4,000 per month
