Overall purpose of the role

We're keen to bring aboard a full-time Senior Strategist to help us develop insightful, innovative strategic solutions for exciting brands in SG and other markets.

We're looking for someone who brings social first, integrated strategic thinking that can catalyse cross-disciplinary opportunities, cross-pollinate data, and catalyse logic to magic! The work spans audience, data research and insights, brand, creative ally-ship, social and content and measurement, thinking audience out, on-brand, x-channel and x-market.

Key responsibilities include unearthing the business problem, identifying & detailing hi-yield hi-potential audiences, crafting brand & social strategy made bulletproof with data and rich with insight, oxytocin-eliciting ideas, marrying content - context - consumer in robust plans and calendars, and ensuring the strategy is unassailable, actionable and measurable.

What does the role involve

Strategy

Taking client briefs, challenging and distilling them, developing them into inspiring and informative internal briefs and external proposals/ pitch decks.
Consumer - Competition - Culture - Company: Analysing codes and data+human insights, and connecting the dots to arrive at relevant, unobvious, distinct and compelling strategic direction for brands that power business growth.
Turning ideas into well-rounded, strategically-sound plans, collaborating with the team to encompass platform and format thinking, consumer journey x content calendar/campaign plans, marketing/media executions, creator/influencer approaches, driving and measuring engagement, timings and budgets.
Effectiveness - Focus and understand client business metrics & funnels and brand & communication KPIs, to frame what success looks like, and the ability to develop strategic approaches designed to track and analyse brands and business growth.
Client forward - Understand the brand & business challenges, the organisational dynamics and needs, and earn client trust by providing well thought through strategic counsel and an external perspective. Handle all client communications with utmost professionalism, whether with crafted presentations delivered with conviction, attentive conversations in meetings, and clear concise and cross-checked emails.
Category - Become an in-house category expert! Proactively track the category global news, in-market shifts of category, consumption, shopper and competition, as well as the category marketing with an eye on platforms, propositions, and targeting,
Capability - Strategy requires wide knowledge and the ability to analyse, distill and validate, and works across brand, digital, social, media integrated, content and data insights. While no one can be an expert at it all, you must have a holistic approach, and be open to learning and doing more, evolving your worth as a strategist.
Project & People Management - With multiple projects and stakeholders from diverse capabilities and cultures, it's important to own your work - managing time and workflows with plans and pacing that deliver high quality work, on time.

Research & Insights

Intellectual curiosity is a must! You'll need to have a good understanding of social data research approaches (online + offline) and unearth data led insights to inform audience, culture, content & creator approaches, platforms format & frequency thinking, cross-pollinating and validating strategy & creative approaches..
Tools we use include: Brandwatch, Meltwater, Global Web Index, Sysomos, Synthesio, Crimson Hexagon and Euromonitor. Research approaches we use include: social listening, ethnography, fieldwork, interviews, semiotics
Clear understanding of marketing and social effectiveness and how to design for performance, measure, and track success both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Creativity

Conceptualise and develop innovative on-brief digital ideas for clients and/or new business, from bigger campaign themes to smaller execution/native/technology-led ideas, collaboratively guiding and leading ideas-generation, inspire & inform creative with best in class category & platform campaigns and trends, building on others ideas, and making it more relevant, engaging and innovative by leveraging new trends & pop culture, emerging platforms & technologies and consumer behaviour.

Leadership & Learning

Lead by example, taking ownership of projects, executing tasks with rigour, professionalism and cultural consideration, presenting with confidence and approaching strategy with curiosity.
Stay tuned in and have an evolving point of view on the future of the communications landscape and the role of social thinking.
Provide mentorship and support for more junior members of the team, and continue to upskill yourself and expand your perspective.

What are we looking for

6 years of relevant experience, preferably in agencies or similar setup
Inquisitive, proactive, positive people who solve problems in creative ways
