OVERVIEW

Our client is a leading Japanese-affiliated general insurer in Singapore with over a century of market presence, backed by a strong financial rating and global expertise through successful mergers and international affiliations.

They are looking for a Japanese Speaking Corporate Sales (Assistant Manager/Senior Executive) in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Client Management

Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Provide technical guidance on insurance solutions tailored to client needs.
Evaluate, accept, and underwrite insurance proposals in accordance with the company's risk acceptance authority and underwriting guidelines, including handling claims, recommending policy wordings, and coordinating with MSIJ, MA, overseas business units, and reinsurers.

Additional Responsibilities

Contribute to company-wide committees and ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and business growth.
Oversee credit control processes and support bad debt recovery efforts, independently or in collaboration with the Credit Controller.
Continuously assess and improve departmental operations and business strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Diploma | Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Relevant certifications in general insurance (minimum CGI & HI)
Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing, preferably in a B2B environment
Prior experience in financial institutions is an advantage
Strong understanding of general insurance products and practices
Business acumen and strategic thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven leadership with a strong drive for results
Expertise in marketing and portfolio management
Professional working proficiency in Japanese in order to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders.
