Position Summary

The Security Specialist supports the Security Manager in implementing and maintaining site security operations and programs for Hyve Solutions Singapore. This role is responsible for supporting physical security systems, access control, incident response, investigations, and customer security compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role works closely with Operations, Facilities, IT, HR, and external security vendors to ensure the protection of employees, visitors, facilities, products, and confidential information while supporting business continuity and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

Support day-to-day site security operations, including physical security, visitor management, and incident response.
Supervise contracted guard force activities and ensure compliance with site security procedures.
Conduct CCTV monitoring and investigations when required.
Manage and update access control permissions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Respond to and investigate security incidents, alarm activations, and access violations.

Security Risk & Compliance

Assist in conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis.
Support the implementation of mitigation plans to address identified security risks.
Support customer security audits and compliance assessments.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and local Singapore regulations.

Security Systems Support

Support the maintenance and operation of:

CCTV systems
Access control systems
Intruder alarm systems
Visitor management systems
Facial recognition/security technologies

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams regarding security system maintenance and upgrades.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Manufacturing, Facilities, IT, HR, and Operations teams to support site security requirements.
Support site expansion, operational readiness, and manufacturing build-up activities.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers.

Training & Awareness

Promote security awareness and company security procedures across the organization.
Support employee security training and awareness programs as required.

Additional Responsibilities

Support security-related projects and initiatives assigned by the Security Manager.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Professional security certifications such as CPP, CSMP, PSP, or equivalent are an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in physical security operations or security systems support.
Experience in manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, or data center environments preferred.
Experience conducting security investigations and incident management.
Experience supporting security audits and risk assessments is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

Experience with security systems such as:

CCTV systems (e.g., Milestone, Hanwha, XProtect)
Access Control Systems (e.g., Lenel, CCure, Paxton)
Intruder Alarm Systems
Visitor Management Systems
Security monitoring and incident reporting tools
