We are seeking a talented and passionate Assistant Sous Chef (Central Kitchen) to join our culinary team. Job Responsibilities

Assist the Sous Chef in managing daily operations of the Central Kitchen, support food production for banquet events/functions and buffet restaurant operations.
Ensure all food items are prepared according to event orders, approved recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
Supervise, train and guide kitchen staff, including new team members in food preparation and cooking processes.
Coordinate production schedules to meet banquet and restaurant service demands.
Monitor food quality, taste, portion control, and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
Assist in stock control, inventory management, and ordering of food supplies.
Minimize food wastage through proper planning and efficient utilization of ingredients.
Conduct checks to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items following FIFO practices.
Support menu preparation, recipe standardization, and product development initiatives.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas.
Work closely with banquet, restaurant, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth operations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or management to support operational needs.

Job Requirements:

At least 6 years of culinary cuisine experience, preferably in a professional / hotel kitchen operation, and/or F&B, banquet, or large kitchen environments
Certified WSQ Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene and Procedures - FSC Level 1
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn
