About the Job

Assist in month-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries, accruals and prepayments under supervision
Prepare supporting schedules and perform basic balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for accounting records
Monitor accounts receivable ageing and follow up on outstanding balances
Liaise with operations and external parties on billing, invoicing and collection matters
Support preparation of audit schedules and assist in statutory audit and GST/tax submissions
Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures
Provide basic financial data and analysis as requested by management
Assist in maintaining internal controls and highlight discrepancies where noted
Support finance system updates, data clean-up and process improvements
Assist in new business setup activities such as vendor/customer creation and chart of accounts maintenance
Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Manager as required

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to full set of accounts and month-end closing
Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements . Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
Experience with accounting systems Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience will be an advantage Hands-on experience in accounts receivable management and credit control is preferred
Ability to perform financial analysis, identify issues, and provide meaningful insights to support management decisions
Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties
Demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
