What does Studio Manager do at WPP Production

The Studio Manager is the operational heart of our creative studio, responsible for creating an environment where our designers, artists, and project managers can produce their best work. This role exists to maximize the quality and efficiency of our creative output by expertly managing people, processes, and technology. You will be the key driver of studio excellence, ensuring workflows are streamlined, resources are optimized, and the team is empowered to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily studio operations, including resource allocation, project trafficking, and work scheduling to ensure optimal team utilization and productivity.
Drive operational efficiency by continuously evaluating and refining studio workflows, processes, and quality control measures.
Champion the integration of new creative technologies, including AI-powered automation and design tools, to enhance studio capabilities and accelerate production timelines.
Oversee all creative output, ensuring work meets the highest standards of quality, adheres to brand guidelines, and is delivered on schedule.
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of designers, artworkers, and project managers, fostering their professional growth and a culture of creative excellence.
Partner with Project Managers and Account Teams to understand project requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure seamless communication between the studio and clients.
Provide essential reporting on studio performance, project status, and any potential issues to senior management, offering solutions and recommendations.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in studio, creative services, or production operations management, with a proven ability to lead creative teams.
A deep understanding of creative and production processes across print and digital media.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team mentorship, process implementation, and performance management.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
Commercial acumen and the ability to manage resources effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency with standard creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with emerging AI-powered creative and automation tools.
